Notes

Everything felt 'heavy' this morning. My legs felt dead, and the dark overcast conditions only added to the gloomy feel. Overall though, I knew it was going to be in the 40's this morning, so I had to take advantage of this rare January weather.

The times I put up were terribly slow, but I wasn't after speed today. I just wanted to get in 2 easy miles to get back into it after a few days off. I have to say that I am thinking about getting on a more formal training schedule. I am currently doing a random mix of things, and then trying to determine what they they qualify as after I complete them. My only fear is that I put together this lovely training schedule, and the weather does not comply...maybe I'll just keep building my base so to speak and get on a set schedule when it is warmer.

Good work dude! I have had success both using and not using a training plan. I haven't used one in a long while, but I'm looking forward to the structure of one starting next week. It definitely doesn't mean I'll be following it to a tee, but it's helpful sometimes to know what you have ahead of you. I think your plan of just building base now, and adding a plan later sounds very good. Also, if you look at your HR vs. your pace for this run, it is an improvement, so keep it going buddy!
