Notes

I rolled my ankle working in the basement last night. It is nothing major, but it was a little sore this morning, and acted up a bit about half way through this run. Overall, it is nothing major and hopefully it doesn't linger.

I wanted to go much farther, but I have to get up earlier. I simply can not really exercise past 630am like I used to since daycare is in play. I will have to start dragging my butt out of bed in the 5's to get better distances logged.

On the plus side, I felt good the whole way through despite some minor soreness from Sunday's biggie. I was proud that I kept this run 'slow'. I wanted to keep my HR under control, and try to start spending more time on my feet and calm over long distances.

Dude, I am really impressed with your fitness gains. Your easy pace at 10 minute pace keeping your avg. HR at 152 is awesome! Don't feel you have to jump too much in the distance department. It's good to have a mix of different distances.

Great job Joe - D is right, your fitness is clearly improving every week . Just take it easy and watch that ankle if necessary... as you can imagine I'm a little paranoid about injury these days! Nice work in the wee hours!

Great work man! You're a good 1 minute ahead of me and you clearly don't have a problem running at this pace for a longer distance. I agree with D that you shouldn't sweat the distance your seeing significant improvement with 3 - 4 mile runs. We can worry about more distance on the weekends when we get together. My plan is to do the 3 - 4 milers on my own really slow (Avg. HR 150 - 160 - for me right now 11:00 Minute pace) and then run the longer distance with you guys on the weekend.
