A bit unlucky with the weather. I was feeling strong enough to keep close to my target pace in the last 7 km if there'd been no wind.
I felt my shoes were probably too light and contributed to my calves fatiguing ahead of the rest of my legs. The left, with the ever-present Achilles pain, was a bit worse. I think I could have pushed harder at 20 to 25 km if I'd had more confidence in my calves holding out. I need to find a way of getting through a marathon at a pace that my fitness allows without my legs going to pieces. Maybe I expect too much.
