This run was great! I did feel a little worn, but I also pushed myself to run faster than 10 min. - and did. Considering I'm looking to shave 19 minutes off my marathon finish time this year, I need to start taking my training a bit more seriously - it's about improving now, not just getting there. My goals are to:
•build up to a base where I run at least 4 days a week (slowly & once my AT is rehabbed completely)
•have my base easy run be 5 miles (was 4 miles last year)
•run my easy base runs at a pace faster than 10 minutes per mile
•finish Chicago in 4:30:00 or less (Marine Corps 4:49:53 last year)
•stay injury free!
