AWESOME run!

I don't know why I'm getting so anxious before these runs when they're going perfectly smooth....

The tendon was AMAZING on this run. I had stretch stops 4 times (miles 4, 9.5, 15, 18.7) where I stopped for about 2-5 minutes and did some sort of stretching to keep the legs loose. I think it is really helping prevent me from cramping up horribly on the last leg of these long runs.

I'm getting faster and stronger, and I can feel it. It's so amazing to FEEL my progress! I had to hold myself back and slow myself down numerous times on this run because I was running 9:50's or 10's....when I should be running 11:30's...yikes!

I can only hope this means a better marathon finish for me. My only concern is the time added for stopping to stretch....will I be stopping to stretch during the race, or will I tough it out? How much of an impact will it have to not stretch? On the flip, how much time will it cost me if I DO stop to stretch a few times? It will probably add on at least 15 minutes to my overall time, depending on how many times I stop. Right now, I do not let my watch run when I take these stretching breaks and when I stop at stop lights.

Hmmm...some food for thought.
