First long run heading to Dallas RnR. In effort to get my long run endurance and legs back quickly, but reduce injury, I am going to use the galloway method and do walk run intervals of 4:1. I guess with all the traveling my body really wanted to push because most of my intervals of running were under 9min miles. So I guess this was technically a race pace sim at the beginning of training to see what type of shape I am in - poor shape! Usually by each walk I was huffing and puffing and ready for the recovery, but 1 min was sufficient to regain myself for the next interval. Didn't have any type of foot pain during run. legs were stiff at the beginning but I'm sure that is from plane rides and sleeping 16 hours. Looking forward to seeing what this galloway method does for me!
