Notes
I didn't break any records in pacing tonight but I will tell you that there is nothing better than being out for a run in 25 degree weather holding hands with your 8 yr old daughter enjoying the time together. It was snowing, the wind was blowing some light snow. We had gotten about 1 inch - 1.5 inches of snow during the day so the sidewalks were covered. Tonight's run was fun.
I will also say that after she left me at the mile mark my mind wanted me to stop and walk. Mentally I guess it was a hard run. I had to keep making myself keep going. My breathing was very good.
As a side note: I started taking my Asthma medication 2 nights ago. My peak flow was reading consistently at 450 which is at the top of the caution area. It should always be over 500 to not need any meds. I could feel some tension in my breathing but not enough to take anything for it. I have went over 6 months without taking anything. I know that I could continue not taking it and live with slight tightness periodically, but I am going to try monitoring my breathing for the next two months as I take my medicine and I will keep a log of any changes here. The next day after taking it for the 1st time I had over a 500 ... I don't like taking it but I will see what happens for the next couple months.
