First run back after what i believe was a flu bug that i fought on and off since Friday night After my botched LR on Sunday, things progressively trended downhill to keep me in the bed pretty much all day Monday and Tuesday, and i still had lingering junk in the legs today, but i knew i had to at least start back in the swing of things b4 Saturday's race. So i knew i was going to keep the effort relatively easy tonight. So what i did was run at a comfortable but brisk pace for periods of a quarter to half a mile then i would stop long enough to stretch my legs out and to get a drink of my The effort was pretty much consistent and the pace surprisingly increased with the same effort. I will probably do a few more easy miles tomorrow night and a short easy run on Friday with some 200 to 400 meter repeats at race pace just to get my body comfortable with the pace b4 Saturday morning. Splits for the run today:8:39,8:25,8:26,8:26,and 8:20.
