Notes

This was a rough LR. I took yesterday off with what felt like i was coming down w/a virus or it could have been the heat and humidity's affect on the RA, but the joints and body was a mess all day yesterday, and still lingered today. I felt like i needed to attempt a LR at least, especially after registering for Columbus Marathon yesterday and reserved a hotel for the weekend too. It took 3 or 4 miles to loosen up for this run, but eventually got going once i was heading across the 35th st bridge into KC, up Virginia to and across MacCorkle to the train tracks and headed towards the upper end of KC onto Chesterfield towards Kmart until i ran into MacCorkle, crossed onto a little road that ran into Kanawha Ave and back along the river. Went into Go Mart to buy some Gatorade since i was out of my Cytomax at this point and 6 to 7 miles to get back. Things went ok going back onto the bike route until i went to cross the 35th street bridge then the sun began to get to me going back down the blvd in the sun as the temps climbed to 83 and heat index at 86 i think. I decided not to push it any further with my history with the heat. So i started walking back to the car for the last 3 or 4 miles. I still had money on me, so i stopped at the One Stop on Greenbrier St to get fluids and something to eat for my walk back to the car. I bought 2 Country time lemonades's a bag of Funions, then headed across to MacDonalds to buy 2 hamburgers and a small fry, which all tasted really good as i took my time and walked back down Virginia St then to the blvd back to Drug Emporium. I had completely eaten and drank everything but a little bit of the 2nd lemonade and a little bit of the Funions left. I am hoping whatever i am fighting right now resolves soon. I am planning on taking it pretty easy this week, except for possibly a light speedwork session this week.
