It was warmer than i expected it to b and i just was'nt feeling the tempo run but i was in the mood and felt pretty good from how my legs felt(wanting something faster than easy pace running). I left UC to head toward the blvd just uncertain of what i wanted to do but i figured out by the end of the 2nd mile i wanted something short and sweet b4 the LR tomorrow. I headed out following a 2mile WU(8:19 and 7:57) and decided to do some ladder intervals trending down from a mile,3/4,1/2,and 1/4 with about 200 meter walk then leading into the next repeat w/an easy jog. I just wanted some turnover for the most part to keep my legs used to the faster pace and to keep them fresh. Splits for the repeats:7:30/2:10, 5:28(7:16 pace)/2:10, 3:34(7:09)/2:09, and 1:39(6:35), then jogged back up the blvd and across the south side bridge back to UC to get the 8 miles. Cool down for 2.75(8:27,8:11,and 6:02(8:05). Overall feel good with this one and ready to run my LR tomorrow. I debated about adding 2 to 3 miles this evening to hit the 70 mile mark going into tomorrow's run so i could hit the 90 miles for the week, but i think i will forego the idea and shoot for the 22 to 23 miler tomorrow if the body cooperates and if able add a easy recovery run tomorrow evening or night if i so choose.
