Notes

I was kind of tired coming into this one with another rough day at work, but i was looking forward to an easy run. So i showed up to run with the TTC and some of the girls were running a little late so George Aulenbacher said he was wanting to run Short Bridge, and asked if i wanted to run it with him. So i took off with him. I knew it was near 90 degrees and to run that route with a lot in the sun on the blvd, i need to keep the pace really easy, and evidently my easy and George's easy r not the same, because we took out at a low 8 min pace for the 1st mile which was o.k. but i knew i could'nt maintain that for the entire run especially 4 days after CDR, so i thought we will settle into a slower pace the next mile, but it was about the same speed as the other one so i let him go ahead, then as we crossed the blvd to the trail path i caught up with him for a little bit as we slowed down then he picked the pace back up and i looked down and i'm running an 8:11 pace at the beginning the 3rd mile, and he had gapped me a good bit so i stopped to catch my breath and to stretch the junk and fatigue out of my legs and then try to recover and keep the effort more at an easy recovery effort which was tough, but eventually i settled into an easy pace for the remainder of the run alone. When i got back to UC he was already gone, so i must have been a lot slower today than he was. Most of the gang had already returned from their 6 mile run and w.k. was adding on to get 7 miles. They said the blvd was turned down because of the heat on the blvd with no shade, which i should have considedered myself. The heat took its toll on me, making this a little harder than normal for an easy run. Oh well another one in the books. Splits for the run:8:12,8:08,8:31,8:38,8:31,and 8:32. The temp at UC was 89 degrees at the end of the run.
