Went and registered for the Komen 5k b4 heading to UC to run a short easy run w/some easy miles and some strides ranging from 150 to 200 meters and then followed w/extended walk and drills until fully recovered. Legs felt kinda flat in the first mile, so i decided to jump into the faster pickups after about the 1.5 mark at a faster but still comfortable clip until about 2.5 then i ran the next mile with several 150 meters or so at a faster but still comfortable effort w/full recovery then i went back to UC to switch shoes(I was uncertain which shoes i wanted to race in) and to drop off the shirt and HR monitor that was sliding down the whole run, then headed back out for about a half a mile or so of the 150 to 200 meter pickups. Finished the run feeling fast and peppy, just the way i like to feel the day b4 a 5k. Hopefully everything goes well and i'll have a fun and fast 5k tomorrow.
