Notes

Fairly good run tonight that began w/the TTC for the first couple of miles. I was uncertain how my L knee would feel because it has bothered me on and off today. It would improve with movement and stretching then relapse at inopportune times. Starting off a little slower for the first 3 or 4 miles helped me to get into the run. I decided on the way back towards UC to go ahead and add on to get 10 miles and then headed across the bridge to the blvd to get the extra miles. At that point the rain actually felt refreshing, but as i went down the blvd the rain picked up and the temps felt colder from the wind. It was coming back up the blvd that the knee began acting up and began to ache more, then began to stiffen up. I could tell there was a difference with the pain that was present on the cambered surfaces, but very minimal on the more even terrain. By the time i got back to UC the rain/sleet? was really hammering down, and it did'nt take me long to get in the car, change clothes and head home. As i do this entry my knee is just stiff at this point. It's a little frustrating to have the knee problems, because it's not really getting worse, nor better. I can run with it for the most part, but i am beginning to feel that it is keeping me from improving with my conditioning. I do know that i have moderate osteoarthritis in the knee, so it's not going to completely go away. Only time will tell what the best course of action is.
