Yay - After one heck of a long lay off, since December last year, interspersed with some walks, but never getting around to lifting both feet off the ground, it was great, albeit tinged with trepidation, that I went back to the gym today, as lockdown restrictions are lifted.

I decided to take it very easy, especially given my excessive weight, and total lack of fitness. Stretched out a bit, then onto the treadmill. 400m walk warm up at 4.6 kph, then a series of 400m runs, with 200m recovery walks. A pyramid session, with 5 x 400m, at 9.6, 9.8, 10, 9.8, 9.6, with the walk recoveries at 4.6 (all in kph).

Everything felt OK, although I am sure i will stiffen up later - Only to be expected. The good news was that, although the speed was slow, the running didn't feel over laboured. I won't go mad and think that all is perfect, and I will take my time building back up to a level that I can smile about. A start is a start, and here we go :)
