Well .... I'm surprised to have gotten this run in at all. I woke up this morning and felt tightness in my lower hammy pretty much right away Which bummed me out. I decided to go to the grocery store and wait out the rain, and almost didnt run at all. Was thinking about maybe just taking another day off since it was feeling tight. Early afternoon, I sat on a heating pad for a while, then rubbed the heck out of it with my Orb and also Lacross ball, which seemed to help a ton. I felt pretty good most of the run, just some tightness behind my knee the last mile or so.

I feel like I've identified the root cause (lower back/locked up glute causing me to overuse my hammy), but I guess while that's good long term --- the hammy still has tendonitis from being abused previously. So i shouldnt expect it to magically be all better just because I know the cause. I think I probably just need to keep doing my PT exercises, icing it after runs, warming it and rolling it before runs -- and I'm going to keep going to the chiro to keep that glute unlocked.

Rob and I also went and bought a new bed last night --a Sleep Number. I dont think it's the sole cause, but our bed is REALLY old and my low back always hurts in the am -- so I'm sure it's not helping. Hopefully a nice supportive bed will help things out too.
