Notes
I really surprised myself tonight! I was really dragging going into it -- I didnt sleep good last night, and had to get up early today to get downtown by 7:15, then had long meetings. I told Rob I was pretty sure my "get up and go" had already "got up and went" ! But then i got going on my hill workouts and I had more left in me than I thought.
On my last 8 hills, I tried something new. Usually I barrel into these and try to hang on to the pace for dear life. This time, I felt like I started at the same intensity, but I picked a spot that was about halfway into the hill and kept telling myself to shift into a different gear. It wasnt easy, but the mental cue seemed to really help.... as evidenced by the faster pace for the last 8!
I know I'm geeky but i put in the Garmin pace above, because I know RA will make it look like I ran slower than i did .. and damn it, I want credit for those paces! :)
