Notes

I was pretty excited for this run but managed to roll my ankle in the first 10 minutes on the ATV path I'd been running on the last few days (eye roll emoji). It felt pretty run-able right after but I definitely made it feel worse and it felt pretty bad walking around at home. The run was fine but I was a little worried about the ankle the whole time. The canyon was harder to run in that I expected because of the bumpy trail surface and gravel all over the place, but it was suuuper pretty. I saw 2 other people there, one of whom was a dude sitting down right past where I stopped before turning around. We talked a little and I learned he was from Georgia and was traveling around the country with his girlfriend to see as many national parks as possible. We felt about the same way about the Grand Canyon vs Bryce, each feeling like Bryce made it easier to see more but that the Grand Canyon needed another visit for more hiking and a trip to the bottom including an overnight.

Not sure this juice was worth the ankle squeeze, but hopefully it doesn't set me back for long.
