2M easy, 2x10min T (6:45-6:51 target) 2min recoveries, 7M easy.
Couldn't hit pace for either tempo bout. The Camelback felt like a lead weight, and it was gradually uphill the whole time, so that might account for some of it, but it was much more difficult than I had expected/hoped. Was quite tired after the tempo, but recovered reasonably well and ran strong for the last several miles. Will be interesting to see how the T + E + T long tempo goes in two weeks.
Mid-week (level and no camelback) tempo runs should give me a better idea on where I stand with them, in the next couple of weeks. I suspect I may have to revise my goal for the 10 miler on Oct 18 (68:xx right now).
