After yesterday's debacle I wanted to make very sure that I didn't press to hard. Paid more attention to my average heart rate, which I read as a percentage of my maximum (thank you, Garmin), and tried to keep it reasonable. Spent 10 minutes or so sorting out yesterday's junk and then just lived with the 8:13 pace and chalked it up to wind and hill. Came back and sure enough - a comfy 7:17. This HR stuff can be handy when it's winding.
