Notes
Read in Pfitzinger and then coincidentally on the same day on Kinetic Revolution that I should run slower at the beginning - obviously! I've known this for ages, but sometimes it helps to be told. So I changed my Garmin settings to show me lap pace instead of avg. pace and hit lap going into Bowring Park. I think I'm getting more mature too, because I wasn't overly concerned with the 8:00/mile pace going out since there was a ton of wind (as usual but extra with a wind warning and everything involved) besides the uphill. Just felt right and my heart rate avg. was more or less where I wanted it.
Blah, blah, blah. Needed the alone time today. Felt good both ways with some tenderness in the right calf and ITB. Coming back I tried to get more air, which I think is the secret to fixing my stride (after checking yesterday's video, I cross over a lot in my feet and I have too much ground time - I think I can solve both of these with more air time; time will tell).
Big week, lots of stimulus -
100km+
40 minutes tempo+
12 minutes interval pace (in super fast finish-like runs, but still)
