Well, not what I expected, but not totally unexpected either. About the same as my 400 performance for what that's worth.

It's good to have those goals set up at the start of the season, because then—no matter how far ahead of myself I get thinking about where my fitness is at—I have those initial goals to look at. This puts me at an equivalent to the 18:24 5k I did, so new event same equivalence. And mostly I didn't want to lose fitness this semester and I dealt with all sorts of trial by error and various niggles and minor injuries, so I have to say I'm happy with this, though I do want to get faster some day...sooner the better.
