I went flat out in this one—really felt like my legs couldn't go any faster those last couple miles. Perhaps there was some pacing errors, but I don't think so. I think I was just tired from the railpath run. Maybe I could recover that quick if I could sleep through the night and not have Olive-brain, but I guess this is an example of how the new reality will effect my running. The Railpath—which did not feel all-out—was a better performance but a full VDOT level.
That being said, just showing up to this was fun, and there's nothing like going flat out. After the railpath and the pride run, I seriously doubted my ability/my will to give in a full effort in a race. Even though this wasn't a proper race, it's nice to know I'm mentally strong enough to empty the tank. And longboat are very nice people.
