Notes

This was a 2x3x70m strides workout with warmup and cool down walks. I wore my Skora Base, which had the foot pod already attached, but forgot my HR strap. After putting my Garmin on my wrist and setting it to acquire satellites, I got busy with Google Earth to figure out the landmarks for a 70m stretch to run on. After measuring different lengths, I eventually decided on my normal start point, an ending point between a tree and a light pole, and rushed out to get started, forgetting to collect my other piece of data until well on my way. Oh, well. Just had to go by feel. :) This resulted in a new PR of a 4:45 pace at a 236 cadence, still a bit of an imbalance, though. The sock like feel of the Skora, which is great for normal runs, was a bit of a drawback here as my foot kept slipping a little as I tried to push back. An even bigger bummer than forgetting my HR strap was my foot pod coming loose and falling off after the second run. Either I knocked it off somehow or the Skora straps are just a bit too wide to hold it securely. Maybe I can go back and find it.
