Today I did a fartlek workout on the exercise bike, 5x5 minutes at about 125-130 RPMs (corresponded with about 175-180 BPM) with a 2 minute easy (90 RPM) recovery between reps. I did 10 minutes easy (100-110) on either end. The bike is weird, now that my butt can handle the seat, it feels like the only limiting factor is boredom. I wonder if it would be better to have an actual bike and hit the roads. I'd probably get killed by a car.
