Notes
God damn it was cold out. Despite this, I overdressed, and thusly overheated toward the end. Apparently, the highest HR I hit was 159; I wonder where this occurred. I imagine up a hill. The run felt nice and easy, especially after yesterday's skiing. Very sunny out, it would be a really nice day if not for the temperature. Mile paces and average HRs:
Mile 1: 10:31/139 (flat and mostly downhill)
Mile 2: 10:38/144 (rolling)
Mile 2.25: 1:53/143 (steep, totally downhill quarter mile)
Mile 3.25: 10:39/144 (flat and gradual down on the way out, opposite on the way back)
Mile 3.5: 4:31/144 (steep, totally uphill quarter mile)
Mile 4.5: 10:39/144 (reverse of mile 2)
Mile 5.5: 11:50/145 (reverse of mile 1)
At the end, I did 6x60m strides. I just felt like it would be good to get back into the habit of doing strides a few times a week; I want to keep in touch with my quicker paces.
