Got up at 6:15 to get in a workout before work, today I headed to the track instead of doing a long fartlek. The workout was 6x800 meters at 5k pace, and I could kind of tell during the first interval that it was going to be a bit rough. I just felt kind of tired, and although I was pretty much hitting my mark (2:45) it was harder than usual for the second half of the workout. Not sure if it's just the fact that I've never done a speed workout at 6:30 in the morning, or indication of something more sinister looming in the background. I'll play it by ear and see what happens.
