The stretch I have been doing to test the pain level of the injury finally lowered in the amount of pain. For the first time since the injury, not much at all. Today is exactly 3 weeks since I got hurt. I had suspected a muscle tear and those take about 3 weeks to recover from... so my guess is this is what happened.

A mile yesterday and today I did 2 miles and faster. :o) I got under 9:00 for the 2nd mile. I continued with a walk/jog for another 1.5 miles.

Today I was supposed to be running a half marathon in preparation for the marathon. I still have a chance to run the marathon if i can continue to run, take a week to adjust to running again and then get a 20 miler in by the end of the month.
