I just didn't have it today. I have been tired the past 2 days with travel and lack of sleep. I was very tired driving to the race. My warmup was slower than normal. When I hit mile 2 in 8:02, even though it was uphill, I knew this day was going to be a struggle.
By mile 4 I decided to just use this as a PMP run at 7:30 pace. Even running 7;30 was tough. I only managed to get it, (7:31), because I was able to run the last 2 miles under 7:00 pace because they were downhill.
I had right glute/hamstring issues the 2nd half of the race.
