I'm calling it long because added to the dog run it was ten, and because I got so depleted and dehydrated by the last two. Temp at end of run was 86F. Lots of friendly people on the trail, and cardinals and bob whites. Adjusted the distance to 8.1 because I didn't get watch restarted for a while after stopping to observe a cardinal.
