Notes

Sunny very hot, low 80's. Tried to get out a little earlier to beat the heat, but not early enough. Plan was a slow easy run over to the MTB trails and run in the woods. Took the usual way over to the high school. Felt creaky and stiff after not having run for a week. Various parts of my left leg complained. Hip, groin, IT band, knee. I haven't been doing my PT or stretching at home lately. By the end everything was ok. Crossed Scottie's field and ran both halves of Take Off. Ran up the laydown area and jumped onto Fawntastic. Ran the to Bull Pine. The brook that crosses the old high school trail had washed out the downstream side of the trail. Super deep hole in the stream bed. Stopped at the stream to splash my face and wet my headband. Mosquitos are fierce in the woods, can't stop at all without getting attacked. Continued on Bull Pine to the end. They fixed the bottom of the steep hill that the stream had washed out. Hiked up the steep hill and my back and hip didn't like it until I got most of the way up. Ran back on Take Off. By the time I got back to the High School I was hot and tired. Stopped at the Swift to splash my head and head band. Saw a couple girls with little kids downstream a ways. One of them had on a tiny leopard print bikini. Hot on the road coming back but I took it slow and finished fairly strong across the footbridge. Papianeau and gym class of kids on bikes passed me just as I came off the bridge. Pretty big group. Good run but too hot. I'm going to shoot for an early morning run with Bob on Friday. Supposed to be 90's tomorrow and 80's again on Friday.

Gear: shorts, Pineland tank, head band, sunscreen, water pack
