Notes

Sunny and warm. Needed to get some more miles in since I only did the race yesterday. Decided to run at the Riverlands and checkout the course. Ran out the main trail and it was a lot drier than I thought it would be. There was still some sections of snow and some muddy spots but overall ok. Took the Bradford loop and fell on a muddy section when the ground gave way under my foot and it slid out sideways, had no chance to save myself. Right leg got covered with mud, but washed off in the next brook. The laydown area where they were logging wasn't too bad. Lots of slash to run of, it was soft. Coming back though, they had covered the trail with slash. Stopped alot to pick up branches. At one point they had cut so much it was hard to see the trail, I knew which direction it was supposed to go and eventually picked up the trail again. Back at the intersection, I stopped to have a GU. Then I headed up to the Ridge trail to take the single track back. Some of it is really marked and kept stopping to look around and make sure I was still on the trail. Just before the bridge I saw a guy on bike, he was pretty happy to be in the woods. Made it back out to the main trail and took it back to the car. Good run, really nice afternoon and really nice to be back in the woods.
