Notes

Sunny, warm, breezy, 75 deg. F. Bob and I ran the Mexico Ledge and back below it. Started out at a fairly easy pace. Legs felt tired from the week’s workouts and runs. Ran all the way to the Thompson hill trailhead, then walked the first hill. Ran and walked the next two. Ran the rest of the way from there to the steep climb, then hiked to the last turn by the pine tree. Ran the rest of the way and 3 loops around the round it stump, pretty gassed at that point. Ran over to the Ledge and hard up to the top. Stopped to regroup for a bit, then ran down to the look out and back up. Decided I would take it easy on the downhill to Swett Ave. trail, but ran pretty hard, legs didn’t feel too bad. At the bottom I was spent though, really hot, legs toast. Struggled for a bit on the way back, walking some, walking the steep hills. But I ran hard the last steep hill up to the sign. Ran a moderate pace back down to the road. Once back on the Honda path I was really ready to be done. Before bridge I stopped an waded into the river to splash my head, it felt really good. The breeze helped cool me off, but I was beat. Had to mentally dig deeper to keep up the pace and finish. Ran pretty hard across the footbridge for a strong finish. Good training run. Pretty fatigued though from the week. I was also hotter than I expected. I need to wear a tank top instead of t-shirt.
