Notes

Sunny warm morning. I hadn't run at the Riverlands since the 100. Ran up the main trail to warm up and then turned on to the new section of singletrack. Found a few TMR flags in a pile a short ways in on the trail, so I picked them up and brought them back out to the main trail. Once back on the singletrack I picked up the pace and ran pretty hard all the way to the picnic area. It felt good to be running fast on the narrow trail. Stopped at the picnic table to let my heart rate come down, then headed out on the second half of the Homestead trail. Slowly picked up the pace and ran hard again until the end of the trail where it's really rocky. I noticed when I stopped to walk my right knee was sore, but it felt ok running. Stopped at the Beaver bridge for a minute then went back up to the Fox Run trail. Ran that back to the intersection with the main trail. Pace was a little slower on this section as my legs were pretty fatigued. Probably ran the other sections a little too fast. At the end of the trail, someone had run over the trail sign and ripped the sign off the post. I straightened the post up with some rocks. Ran back up the main trail then turned right on to the Harrington Path and took the Porcupine Trail back. Legs were pretty beat at this point. This trail was muddy in quite a few spots. Made it back to the car with no issues. Right knee was a little sore walking around. It was sore for a while after but then was ok. Kinda weird. Good run though, but still recovering from the marathon.
