Notes

Sunny, light wind, warm, wore shorts! Hill repeats today. Plan was to do 4 repeats on South road and 4 on Orchard. Ran out the driveway but turned to go up to the end of the road, then back down the road to warm up. Crossed the intersection and started climb #1. Hit the lap on my watch and timed the whole up and down. Ran a steady pace and turned around at Shaw's driveway. 1st one felt good as did the second. My legs started to feel it about half way up the steep section on the 3rd and 4th. Headed back to Orchard, stopped at the bottom and took 3 deep breaths before starting. This hill I time the up and the down separately. Felt pretty gassed by the time I got to Richardson's driveway on the first 2, but recovered by the time I got back to the bottom. The 3rd one I wasn't quite recovered before starting the last one. Pushed hard on this one to maintain pace. Easy jog from the top until the short hill from the Gray's, then bounded up it to our driveway. Stopped to let my heart rate come down and have some water. Looped up to the dead end twice for a cool down. Good workout. Could probably do 5 sets each next time. Everything felt ok. It was really nice to run in shorts.
