Notes

Cloudy, cool, a little windy, some sprinkles of rain, 51 deg. Decided to do an easy trail run and beat the heavy rain forecast for later. Headed out for the Rec park, unsure of how wet and flooded it would be. Instead of taking the trail along the river, cut back and came out by the Aubuchon’s field. I was able to go down over the hill behind Frank bank, but had to stay high up by the bridge abutment because it was flooded. That was the only bad spot. The rest of the Honda paths were dry. Ran a fairly easy pace, felt lightheaded most of the way out. Someone built a little bridge across the stream before the second field. Got to the rec park and went out behind the tennis courts and then came back by the new soccer field. Saw Bruce Waugh and his guys wiring up power to the new shack. Looped around the ball fields and headed back. I was getting hungry and still lightheaded. Took the long way around the field before going back across the little bridge. By this time I really felt like stopping, but I had nothing to eat so I kept going and picked up the paced to get back sooner. Actually felt better running at the harder pace. Ran hard all the way back. Stopped to pick up some branches and move a small tree behind the bank before running up the hill. Ran pretty hard the rest of the way back to the mill. Good run, good to be back on the trails. Body is tired though.
