Notes

Sunny, kinda hot, windy, 73 deg. Bob didn’t want to run to let his heel heal. Decided since it wasn’t too hot to do a road run and run the Black Bridge Loop. Started out at an easy pace and could still feel the run from Sunday. Next mile was a little faster and then I decided to try and run negative splits. The next one was quite a bit faster and I wasn’t sure if I could continue going down, but I was able too. I was feeling pretty good at the end of mile 5 so I decided to pick it up and see if I could run mile 6 under 8 minutes. It was work but I got it. Had to really slow down and recover for a bit, felt like stopping but kept going and eventually felt better and got back to a moderate pace. There was less than a mile back to the mill and my pace was just under 9:00 so I picked up the pace to try and finish in under a 9:00 pace. Ran pretty hard down to the boat launch then jumped on the trail under the bridge and came up the hill by the old Frank Bank. Got a call and had to stop to answer it, it was only audex. Kept going hard back onto the river trail and sprinted across the footbridge. This was a good tempo run, started out thinking it would be easy but felt better as I went along and it turned into a hard run.

Running in a singlet is much cooler than a short T, especially when there is a nice breeze.
