Notes

Sunny, cool, no wind, 46 deg. really nice. Plan was an easy run out to Isthmus and back along the Swift. Started up Steve's favorite hill and went up to York St., past RES, down Lincoln Ave. to Somerset. Turned onto Somerset and waved hi to Dick Cote, driving a white pickup. Ran Somerset to Porter West and down to Hancock. Ran all the way out to Isthmus road. Didn't linger at the turnout but headed back. Tried to keep my breathing at 3 in and 3 out except for the hills. Tired by the time I got back to Lincoln ave and felt pretty slow going up. Didn't stop at the turn onto York street but kept going and it took awhile to recover. Not a hard pace back to the mill. Felt good but tired when I was done. Focused on keeping my core tight and picking up my left leg. No back/hip/IT band issues. Knee felt ok starting out. Made the last minute decision to switch to shorts and glad I did. I was hot when finished, pants would have been miserable. Beautiful bluebird sky and no wind. What a nice day to be out!

Gear: shorts, orange W2B long tech T, headband, sunglasses, sunscreen, waterpack
