Notes

Filtered sun, kinda hot, a light breeze, 74 deg. Plan was to keep it flat today after a couple days of the Ledge. Decided to run the Black Bridge loop counter-clockwise. Ran along the river and up onto the bridge, then crossed the road and down along the usual route up to 17. The first couple miles felt hard, like I was going fast but not really. Mile 3 I started to pick up the pace a little more. Mile 4 I was getting into the groove and by Mile 5 I was running hard, although most of it was downhill. Stopped just before Scottieā€™s bridge to text Paula, then ran a moderate pace for mile 6, then fairly easy for the last mile. Tweaked my left knee again going down the little hill to the ball fields, but not bad. The front of my right knee cap has been painful on and off the last few days. Pretty good run but definitely not in the road shape I was, maybe because it was hot. Nice breeze on the way back and cooler in the shade.
