Notes

Thunderstorms this morning to finally break the heat and humidity. Afternoon run at the Riverlands as a tune up for the Scuffle on Sunday. It was still pretty humid when I started out, but it wasn't as hot as yesterday. I ran out the ATV road, hit the mile mark and turned onto the Fox Run trail, ran to the Deer Path, there were new signs. Ran the deer path fairly hard to the start of the Ridge trail. I was pretty hot by this time and had to slow and walk a little. Ran all the hills though and stopped to cool down at the top of the Ridge. The wind was picking up and the air was drying out and cooling off. I felt better after this and ran pretty hard down to the ATV road. Took the Homestead all the way back. Ran the 2nd half pretty hard and didn't stop at the picnic area. Ran the 1st half mostly hard also, but hiked the last big hill. Got back to the car and felt ok. Legs felt a little fatigued and I was hot, but everything else was ok. Ready for the race, but not planning to run it real hard.
