Notes

Sunny, cool and breezy. Headed to the Riverlands by myself for a medium distance run. Ran the Heritage Trail, to the Ridge trail. After warming up, picked up the pace. Ran the hills up the ridge at a hard pace. Stopped for a bit to recover. Decided to go down to the ATV trail, loop around on that then go up the steep part of the Ridge trail then come back on the Deer Path trail, to Fox Run, to the Porcupine trail. It was further than I thought on the road back to the Ridge Trail, about 2 miles, took a GU while running the road. Met a guy running towards me who was going hard, had a BAA shirt on and wasn't real friendly, looked like a roadie. Going back up the trail was runnable all the way to the set of steps up to the top. Stopped here and there to clear brush, didn't look like this trail gets used much. At the top went back to the rake intersection and got on to the Deer path. Ran at a pretty fast pace all the way back. Stopped at the bridge over the brook to splash my face and rinse out my headband. Took the Fox Run trail back to the ATV road. Ran the road to Harrington Path and finished on Porcupine Trail. Stopped at the place where I crashed last week and pulled the tree back out of the trail, it was out into the right side of the trail. A big tree had come down across the trail right at the end of it before road. Good, pretty hard run. Really nice morning to be in the woods. The air was fresh and fragrant after the rain last night.

Gear: shorts, short tech T, water pack, 1 GU, pirate head band.
