Hosmer Track

Notes

Cloudy, some rain, cool, 47 deg. Speed work day at the track. Goal was 4 x 1600m at 7:20 – 7:25 pace with an 800m in between each. Took the usual warm-up loop up to York street and down the track. Effort was hard but not all out, and not completely gassed after each one. The 2 lap recovery seemed a little long. Stopped for a drink just before starting the next one. Splits were right on target, 7:15 – 7:20. Legs felt ok, no aches or pains. Noticed the outside of my left leg seemed a little sore/tight, almost like an IT band issue on the recovery laps. Maybe because my stride was really short and slow? Felt ok on the hard laps. Ran back to the mill fairly hard.
