Notes

Overcast kinda cold, first time back to the Riverlands since the OSGR a month ago, Snow on the trails so wore microspikes. Ran the beginning of the 100 course to the Ridge Trail. Main trail was packed from ATV traffic. Single track was crusty and had foot traffic. Running was ok. Stopped at the picnic area and saw the beavers had cut a lot of the brush and opened it up. Finished the Homestead trail and stopped again at the beaver bridge, Took some pictures to post on IG after the run. Headed up the Ridge trail and followed a set of foot prints. Had to stop a couple of times to figure out where the trail went, Definitely need some more paint on some trees. Walked alot of the steep sections but ran when I could. The running was actually ok. Headed over to the Ledge trail to see how icy it would be. It wasn't bad, snow and leaves. I was more worried about the leaves being slippery, but made it down ok. Had to stop and look hard for the trail, finally found it and running down it in the snow was fun. My left knee was sore on the outside and I was getting short on time so I ran the main trail back to the beaver bridge. Saw a set of microspikes tracks. It turned out to be Jason Tardy. My knee felt a little better on the main trail and a GU boosted my energy. Ran the singletrack back and stopped at the picnic area again. This time I stopped to pick up a bunch of cans and put them under the picnic table to get later when I had a bag. Felt ok on the main trail back but my legs were getting tired, first run in the snow with spikes. Good run though, wanted 10 miles, but 9 and the time it took was ok.

Gear: UA tights, short tech T, brooks jacket, gloves (shed), headband, microspikes, waterpack
