Good long run after not having a substantial one for some time. Leg hurt, but not bad and it subsided to the point that it didn't bother me at all by the end of the run and... my knees really didn't bother me into the run either. I hit a "mini wall" around mile 19 where my calves started tightening up, but I think that was simply because I have not gone this kind of distance in a while and may have been lacking a bit in hydration. I had a potty break between miles 7 and 8, and another short break for a train around mile 14. You'll see in the split times I saw it coming and was trying to beat it to the crossing, but didn't make it. I took the train break opportunity to water some nearby bushes. For cool down I walked backwards in an exagerated fashion for about a quarter mile down our street which really seemed to alleviate the tightness and fatigue in my calves and then jogged/walked about a quarter mile. My hips were killing me by the end of the run which is just due to the distance and pounding. I ice-bathed post run which seems to have helped with recovery and then warm shower. We shall see. Overall, this run was of great encouragement to me. Splits:

A little inconsistency in my split times, but not too bad. I need to try to keep a level pace through the majority of my race and starting out nice and easy.
