Despite the extra days off, the tendon issue that was lightly bugging me a week or so ago popped back up rather unexpectedly and was bugging me quite a bit after the run yesterday.
Fair bit of massage work, etc. and was able to manage it enough to race today. Found some painful tissues/knots in upper outer calf and peroneal. Shin/Tibialis a bit banged up too.
Assume this is due to extra speed/workouts as root cause but have started using flonase spray the last 3-4 weeks for allergies and some side-effects include muscle pain/sprain/stiffness, slower healing, anxiety (I haven't slept as well lately and already a bit anxious at times) and some rare documented cases of tendon/tenonitis issues.
Maybe a long shot on the flonase but lower back has been achy (along with body in general) and that is as a fairly common side-effect.
Stopping flonase and will try to do all the right things for the tendon.
