Decided to leave the tunes at home today, and experiment with heart rate on the Popperton Park route.
I tried to keep my heart rate around 160 BPM down the hill and up it. Made for a true "easy" run, in fact this is probably what is meant by "easy", when it is used in training terms. For some reason my leg muscles felt fatigued today, a little sore from the tempo run the other day, probably. I start training for the Winter Sun 10k in earnest next Monday, I'm really going to do my best to stick to the program I have laid out.
