Notes
Did a 13.1 mile while visiting my parents. I think I went a little too fast on the way back (last 7 miles) but in all fairness, it was slightly downhill and a net decline. Also, I was not putting pressure on myself or pushing the pace. I was just letting my body do its thing as I cruised back on the Montour trail, which is more of a B&H or Towpath than a trail.
My mile splits were as follows:
9'11", 9'19", 9'18", 9'29", 9'11", 8'42", 9'03", 8'48", 8'54", 8'45", 8'55" 8'51", 8'56", 9'07" (last .5).
The backend might have been a little too hard in this heat. The last three minutes were very hot and I was taking in a lot of liquids (gatorade and water).
Overall, I did not feel like I was pushing it. I was letting my body set the pace. The less I looked at my watch the faster I seemed to go. At any rate, I can work on backing off the pace even more. I was a bit happy to be done so I could get out of the heat.
Good day of running. I slept very well the night before so I had plenty of energy and felt great.
