Notes

Tonight was my first interval workout in this training season. I warmed up at W&J track with 2.5 miles. Then I did 6X800 (supposed to be 3'15") with 400 recovery (about 3'). My 800s were faster than this. I did not feel like I was pushing it. Rather, I felt relaxed and very much in control.

My splits were:

1) 3'09''

2) 3'08"

3) 3'08"

4) 3'05"

5) 3'07"

6) 2'59"

After my 800s, I walked a lap and then did 2 more miles on the track (easy) before running back to mom and dad's for a good daily total considering how nasty and hot today was. I was very happy with this workout. It was my greatest 800 performance ever and I am happy hills are over for now.

The good part was at that time of day about 200-250m of the track was shaded. Today was a real roaster - hence why I waited until the evening.
