Arguably my most competitive run since Lillian was born despite the fact that I ran alone for 80-90% of the race. Led through the Island Trail (only needed 7 minute pace to get there) then kept it nice and slow until the first two guys passed me. Jeff caught up shortly thereafter, and then no more changes in position, although Ely was catching up to me when we got to the O-Trail, which I ran rather well on. I had no right to expect to run as well as I did. Came home with half a case of beer for the team win and a $25 gift certificate to Frontier for the age group win, 4th overall.
