Mascarene, NB. - haven't run since Wednesdays workout. Heat and work got to me. Little sore after all the plumbing work we did yesterday. Fun single track trail. First 5k is rolling terrain and tough rooty and Rocky single track. Than your treated to nearly 2 miles of road that's fast going. Crossed the road onto more single track with a bit of cliff running than crossed a cove at low tide, climbed up a rocky face to the aid/lap point. The first guy took off immediately and I never saw him after 400m. He ended up 13min ahead. Flying on that terrain. About 5k a guy at the ATV and road said I was just back a little from him so mile 4 and 5 I pushed in hopes he was within sight. Nope. Burned myself out probably there. As the second lap.
