Notes
I used the "mind over matter" mantra today and it was a success! It started off horribly though - I quickly made up my mind to do 5 miles instead of 6 because my body was feeling so horrible. I was tired and I could barely stand up straight (in terms of running form). Somehow, I convinced my heavy legs to GO GO GO a bit faster. It was painful for the first couple of strides, but after a while, I really got into it. My body adapted to the pace and I was able to run faster than the crawl that I was doing. Obviously, I didn't increase my speed drastically because I probably wouldn't have been able to handle that. I didn't want to tire my poor body out more than I had to.
So, I ended up running 6 miles :) Not without some pushing and some aches, mind you.
